Hello and thank you for your interest in our puppies! If you are interested in adopting one of our babies, I would like to ask you a few questions and find out a little more about what kind of home you would provide, should one of our puppies come and live with you and your family. As well as having an extensive background in canine rescue, my dogs and puppies are very much a part of my family, therefore, I am careful where they are placed. I like to get to know people a little bit before placing one of my puppies with them so that I know they will be well cared for, loved and so that both puppy and family will be happy for a lifetime.
Please copy and paste the questions below into the form provided at the bottom of the page or copy and paste them into an email and send them back to me to be reviewed.
1. What is your name and address?
2. Have you ever owned a Miniature Schnauzer before?
3. If so, do you still have them or where are they now?
4. If not, what made you decide on this particular breed?
5. Do you have a color preference?
6. Do you have a preference for a male or female puppy?
7. Do you own any other pets?
8. If so, how many?
9. Do you breed any of them?
10. Are they all spayed/neutered?
11. Do you currently have a vet?
12. If so, please provide contact information?
13. If not, do have a vet picked out to use with a new puppy?
14. Do you have children? And if so, what are their ages?
15. Where do you live (house/apartment)?
16. Do you rent or own your home?
17. Do you have a fenced yard?
18. How many hours a day would a puppy be alone?
19. Where would the puppy be kept and where would they sleep?
20. Do you plan to train your puppy at home or in a class?
21. If at home, have you trained a puppy before?
22. What would you do with your dog/puppy in the event of a hurricane evacuation (for those this applies to)?
Most of these questions are not a pass or fail type question. They are just used to reassure me that our puppy would be getting a great home and so that I can try to help place the right puppy in the best home for them. I also want to be sure that you are well informed before making the decision to add a puppy to your family. Adopting a dog/puppy is a lifetime commitment and not one that should be taken lightly.
I take my responsibility and commitment to my dogs and puppies seriously. I am here for support for the lifetime of our adopted dogs/puppies. If for any reason during their lifetime you are no longer able to keep or care for them, I will take them back at no charge to you with no questions asked. I never want them to be sold, given away or taken to a shelter.
Thank you again for your interest and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kind Regards,
The Mintz Family
