Hello and Welcome to Sugar Valley Miniature Schnauzers!
We are the Mintz family and we live in Southeast Texas on a 25 acre ranch where we enjoy our APHA Paint horses and raise well bred non-traditional and traditional color AKC registered Miniature Schnauzers and large toy size Miniature Schnauzers. We raise a very limited number of non-traditional liver puppies per year (normally just 1-2 litters) and select only the best for our breeding program. Health, conformation and disposition are our top priority. No matter what color or size they are, they should still be well bred Miniature Schnauzers. This site is dedicated to my daughters Sarah and Sammi who fell in love with the non-traditional liver colors and decided to raise them.
Each and every dog and puppy are first and foremost a member of our family. Our furkids are not kept in the garage or in a barn, they live in the house with our family. I am with the them when they give birth and handle each baby from the time they take their first breath. All of our puppies have their tails docked and dew claws removed by the 3rd day after they are born. Our puppies are raised by myself and 3 wonderful children ranging from age 11 to 15 years. We also use an early neurological stimulation program (aka Bio Sensor / Super Dog Program) with our babies from day 3 to day 16 after birth. They are socialized around other dogs, cats, kids, as well as, being exposed to normal household activities and it shows in their personalities! We also start puppy pad potty training by the time the babies are 4 weeks old and continue that until they go to their new homes.
Puppies will come to you pre-spoiled, with tails and dewclaws removed, puppy contract that includes a 1 year genetic health guarantee and spay/neuter agreement, small bag of food they are currently eating, freshly groomed, age appropriate shots, wormed regularly and started on potty training. I normally also provide a puppy collar and a small blanket that has been rubbed on their Mom to help comfort them during the transition to their new home.
I am here for a lifetime of support and stand behind my babies. If for any reason during their lifetime you are no longer able to keep or care for them, I will take them back at no additional charge to you, no questions asked. I do not want any of my puppies or dogs given away or turned in to an animal shelter or pound. I've been involved in rescue most of my life and am therefore careful where my puppies are placed.
All puppies are sold as pets only and although all parents are registered with AKC, we either provide limited AKC registration or no registration papers with our babies. I will be glad to show our adoptive families our puppy parents AKC registration papers as proof that they are 100% pure bred and registered. Rarely do I make exceptions and offer full AKC registration on any of our babies. Absolutely no mills need to contact me about any of my babies. I know what goes on in "the bad places" and I will not knowingly ever place a dog or puppy in that type of environment. I want them all to go to wonderful loving indoor homes!
I am also currently a board member for a 501(3)c rescue in Houston called Annie's Angels Texas Rescue. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting a rescued cat, kitten, dog or puppy, please visit our rescue website to see what we have available. www.anniesangelsrescue.com . Donations are welcome and are always very much appreciated!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me! [email protected] . Between 3 kids, horses, dogs and puppies, I am in and out of the house a lot and can respond to emails much faster than playing telephone tag. Thank you again for visiting with us!
